The student poster based on the thesis works of Chemical Engineering students: Armando Morillo Jr., Mark Jason Redondo, and Nickson Jao place second in the scientific poster contest during the 3rd National Phycological Symposium and Scientific Meeting held on Aug 6, 2010 at the Drilon Hall, SEARCA, College, Laguna.
The winning entry is entitled “Propagation of Chlorella vulgariz Belj. (Cv1) in an externally-illuminated vertical column draft-tube photobioreactor for biomass propagation”. The members of the thesis advisory committee are: Prof. Rex B. Demafelis (ChE-CEAT), Prof. June Owen Nacorda and Milagros Martinez-Goss (IBS-CAS).
